Percutaneous pancreas needle biopsy from a patient with peripancreatic abscess. There is marked expansion of a septal area due to fibrosis and mixed inflammatory infiltrates that extend to the periphery of the acinar lobule. Although it is not possible to rule-out completely concurrent minimal rejection, these changes are typical of peripancreatic or intra-abdominal infections complicating the post-transplantation clinical course.
