This donor liver biopsy shows diffuse mostly microvesicular steatosis affecting more than 70% of the sampled parenchyma. The macrovesicular component of steatosis involves less than 25% of the parenchyma. Microvesicular steatosis is a common finding, and usually does not compromise allograft function after transplantation.
