Moderate Acute Rejection

Cases with significant mononuclear infiltration and (a) foci of severe (grade t3) tubulitis or (b) mild to moderate (grade v1/v2) intimal arteritis. In Banff 93-95, cases with t3 tubulitis were designated as Grade IIA rejection, and those with grade v1/v2 intimal arteritis as Grade IIB rejection. In Banff 97, the presence of t3 tubulitis is used to define Type IB rejection, grade v1 intimal arteritis defines Type IIA rejection, and grade v2 intimal arteritis defines Type IIB rejection.
