- Obliterative Arteriopathy in Chronic Liver Allograft Rejection
-
Obliterative arteriopathy is the characteristic feature of
chronic rejection in all vascularized solid organ allografts.
In the liver, it principally manifests as foam cell transformation
of the intima and media. This results in lumenal narrowing
and a predisposition to thrombosis.
