Rejection
At higher power, the mixed character of the inflammation is noted, with large activated lymphocytes, other mononuclear cells, and numerous neutrophils (which are often a great component of the infiltrate in moderate than mild acute rejection). The accompanying crypt damage is conspicuous, and cryptitis is pronounced.
