This is the typical appearance of the pox-like lesions seen
with Adenoviral hepatitis. Note the collections of
macrophages intermixed with hepatocytes undergoing necrosis.
Ischemic injury usually does not show this degree of
inflammation. In addition, the lesion is larger than
those normally seen with CMV.
