In IHLTS grade 3B and
4 acute rejection are relatively uncommon. In such cases,
the infiltrate is diffusely spread throughout the biopsy,
as shown here. In addition, there is interstitial edema, focal
interstitial
hemorrhage and easily detectable myocyte injury.
