Figure 6. Lobular changes in acute rejection are usually limited to Kupffer's cell hypertrophy and sinusoidal lymphocytosis, with occasional acidophilic bodies. Significant lobular disarray, inflammation and hepatocyte necrosis are unusual for acute rejection and when present, are more suggestive of a diagnosis of hepatitis.
