Hyperacute Rejection
Figure 8. Immunofluorescence examination of specimens with hyperacute rejection can document immunoglobulin and complement deposition in allograft vessels. IgG is the commonest immunoglobulin deposited, and multiple components of complement are typically also identifed. The interstitial infiltrate in this biopsy contains numerous surface IgG bearing B cells.
