This is a higher magnification of the
previous slide, showing
in greater detail, the deposition of IgG in the
sinusoids and in the portal vein thrombus.
Diffuse deposition of immunoglobulin and complement
components is usually only seen within the first
6-12 hours after transplantation. Thereafter, the
immune deposits are usually detectable only in the
hepatic artery branches and occasionally in some of
portal veins.
