Vascular Thrombosis
Figure 1. Hepatic arterial thrombosis is by far, the most common serious vascular complication after hepatic transplantation. In this gross photograph, a dissecting aneurysm separates the media and intima from the adventitia(arrow) of the main hepatic artery. This results in lumenal compromise and deficient blood flow to the liver.
