Acute Rejection Grading

Rejection
Figure 4. Note the minimal portal inflammation in this triad, without any bile duct damage or venous endotheliitis. This degree of inflammation was present in less than one half of the triads examined in an allograft biopsy obtained 10 days after transplantation, and is the minimal amount of inflammation that would qualify for a diagnosis of "Indeterminate" for acute rejection.
