Humoral Rejection

Humoral Rejection
This photomicrograph shows some of the earliest signs of hepatocellular injury seen after humoral rejection of a liver allograft. Note the hypereosinophilia of many of the hepatocytes in the center of the field. These changes preceed the large geographic areas of hemorrhagic necrosis, which occurs in grafts destined for failure.
