Humoral Rejection
Humoral rejection occuring when major blood group barriers are violated is usually evident within hours after compete revascularization. The biopsy shown above was taken several hours after a blood type O female recipient received a blood group B donor liver. Note the marked panlobular sinusoidal congestion and lack of portal inflammation.
