Acute Rejection Grading

Rejection
Higher power examination demonstrates the mixed inflammatory component, which includes eosinophils and neutrophils in addition to activated and small lymphocytes, and shows conspicuous mononuclear infiltration of crypt epithelium. The widespread crypt damage distinguishes this as moderate acute rejection. Apoptotic bodies are not evident in this field.
