Rejection
In this biopsy specimen taken early post- transplant, a Peyer's patch is expanded and prominent. It demonstrates a pale, mottled appearance, especially affecting its submucosal aspect (arrows). Lamina propria infiltration and crypt injury can be appreciated in the mucosa towards the right.
