Quilty-type lesions can also be seen deeper in the
myocardium, in perivascular spaces and in the pericardium. In
this example, a relatively well circumscribed infiltrate consisting
of small lymphocytes is apparently situated in the myocardium.
Deeper cuts of such lesions will often, but not always, show a
connection with the endocardium.
